Eastern Printing was founded in 2026 to publish the state-specific compliance materials that LTC facilities, group homes, and pharmacies actually need. We publish what we wished existed when we walked into our first inspections.
Over the years dispensing controlled substances to group homes, LTC facilities, and community programs across New England, we watched our partners struggle with the same problem: every state's recordkeeping requirements are different, and the log books available on Amazon don't reflect any of them.
Charge nurses were photocopying inserts. DONs were updating signature lines with sharpies. Owner-operators were getting cited for missing fields that no commercial log book actually included.
So we started writing the books we wished we could hand to our partners — one for each state, citing the actual regulations, designed for the way medication passes really happen.
Eastern Printing is built around a team of compliance researchers and editors who work with LTC facilities, group homes, and pharmacies across the country. We track the boards, the departments, and the codes that govern controlled-substance recordkeeping in every state we publish.
We sit on the other side of audits with our facility partners. We know what inspectors look for — and which fields keep getting missed.
That operating context is what informs every page of every state edition we publish.
Every state edition starts with a regulatory survey: which statutes govern controlled-substance recordkeeping, who inspects the facility, what fields are mandatory and what's discretionary.
From there we design the book around how the people actually using it — charge nurses, program specialists, pharmacists, owner-operators — need to capture the data.
If you operate facilities and we don't yet publish for your state, tell us. State editions are queued by request volume.
Bulk quotes, custom branding for your facility network, or a state edition request — we'd love to hear from you.
